Long Labored Lug
Master Morien MacBain

Long labored Lug*, beloved of Weyland,
Marvels he made here, many and wondrous,
Rich and rare he wrought well with hand-strokes,
Fine stones and fire formed he together.
Beasts made our Baron, best upon Midgard,
Look on these Lughies, love in your heart.
Touch you these tokens; take them up gently-
Lug's memory lasts, though life finds its ending.

*A caption provided for a exhibited collection of Anglo-Saxon brooches crafted by Baron Lug the Black of Blackstone Mountain, and blessed memory. "Lughies" is an affectionate nickname for such treasures he made. Weyland was the wonder-working smith of Old English mythology. ~Morien
